1)  About Worship – “Wonders Of Worship”

Apostle/Pastor Darrell Alder is a Wor/Warship Leader and provided information about the “Wonders Of Worship” according to the leading of the Holy Spirit.  His WORSHIP allowed the “presence of God’s Holy Spirit” to FILL THE ATMOSPHERE.  Highlights of the presentation follow:

·        What is Worship?

As a noun, Worship is defined as:

Reverent honor and homage paid to God or a sacred personage, or to any object regarded as sacred.

Formal or ceremonious rendering of such honor and homage.

       Adoring reverence or regard.

As a verb, Worship is defined as:

To render religious reverence and homage, as to a deity.

To feel an adoring reverence or regard for a person, object or deity.

Synonyms for Worship are:

Honor:  to have high respect for someone.

Homage:  respect or reverence paid or rendered.

Adoration:  the act of paying honor, as to a divine being: worship.

Venerate:  to regard or treat with reverence; to revere.

Revere: to regard with respect tinged with awe: to venerate.

Adore:  to regard with the utmost esteem, love and respect: honor.

Glorify: to honor with praise, admiration, or worship; to extol.

Extol:  to praise highly: to laud.

Idolize:  to regard with blind adoration, devotion, etc.

Adulate:  to show excessive admiration or devotion to; flatter or admire servilely.

This is more of a universal definition of the word but of course, our personal application of worship applies ONLY to our God….Yahweh.

True Worship is not the slow song that the choir sings.

True Worship is not the amount you place in the offering basket.

True Worship is not volunteering in children's church.

Yes, these may be acts or expressions of worship, but they do not define what true worship really is.

There are numerous definitions of the word worship. Yet, one in particular encapsulates the priority we should give to worship as a spiritual discipline:

Worship is to honor with extravagant love and extreme submission (Webster's Dictionary,1828).

True worship, in other words, is defined by the priority we place on who God is in our lives and where God is on our list of priorities.

True worship is a matter of the heart expressed through a lifestyle of holiness.

Thus, if your lifestyle does not express the beauty of holiness through an extravagant or exaggerated love for God, and you do not live in extreme or excessive submission to God, then you might want to do a self-examination of your relationship with God and make a decision to live the life of a true worshipper.

If you desire a greater, deeper relationship with your God, then I invite and encourage you to make worship a non-negotiable priority in your life.

“To Whom is Our Worship Directed?”

Our worship belongs to and is directed to our God and His name is Yahweh!!!

We worship God because he is God. Period.

Our extravagant love and extreme submission to the Holy One flows out of the reality that God loved us first.

It is highly appropriate to thank God for all the things he has done for us. However, true worship is shallow if it is solely an acknowledgement of God's wealth.

Psalm 96:5-6 says, "For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and glory are in his sanctuary."

In other words, our worship must be toward the one who is worthy simply because of his identity as the Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent One, and not just because God is wealthy and able to meet our needs and answer our prayers.

We must focus our practice of worship on the worthiness of God and not his wealthiness.

“Why Is True Worship So Important?”

True Worship should be important to us because it is important to God!!

St. John Chapter 4, Verses 23 and 24 illustrate to us and for us just how important true worship and true worshippers are. It read as follows:

(23) But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.

(24) God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

We cannot simply offer God any kind of worship and expect Him to respond to it.

Jesus said in Matthew 15:8,9:

(8) These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.

(9) And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of me.

Can we offer Yahweh worship that is not true? Yes we can and this is not what God wants from us. He wants True Worship.

Because of our God's wonderful and loving generosity toward us, God, in all of his glory, chooses to respond to us through our worship. This is the promise—that when we worship God with extravagant love and extreme submission, God will come and commune with us.

The promise is not that we will feel great or that our heavy load will be lifted, but that God will come. And when God comes in his own time as a response to our worship, Psalm 96:13 declares, "Let all creation rejoice before the LORD, for he comes, he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in his faithfulness."

As we learn and understand what it truly means to worship God and become the true worshippers He desires, our lives will be changed and our relationship with Yahweh will improve in understanding, intimacy.

4)About Budgets/Finance – “Time, Talent and Treasure”

Pastor Marvel Alder was led of the Holy Spirit to present information about using your “Time, Talent and Treasure” for Kingdom building efforts.  Highlights of the presentation follow:

·    As Pastor Marvel-ous was overcome by the presence of God’s Holy Spirit, she changed the dynamic of her presentation.

·    Everything belongs to God-the earth is the Lords and the fullness thereof.  Naked you came into the world and naked you shall leave.  From birth to death, the time and talents at your disposal have been entrusted to you, and how they are used are indicators of what is treasured.  What is treasured is a matter of the heart.

·    Be fruitful and multiply – The fruit increases and ripens or matures as the relationship with the LORD grows.  As the LORD leads us toward and we are obedient to our purpose, it reproduces more fruit (fruitful).  As we mature and become more fruitful, we start to mentor/train others –that’s the multiplication.  Faithful over few (fruitful)-ruler over many (multiplication).  For example, “Command the Morning” is a Ministry of Prayer that Pastor Julius began as Monday – Friday, early morning conference call PRAYER line. It expanded from 30 minutes (I think) to 1 hour 30 minutes, from 5 days a week, to 7 days per week; from a PRAYING to a TEACHING Ministry and much, much more.  Pastor Njui has been faithful to this PRAYER Ministry for years.  As such, it has increased in states, countries, and segments (fruitful).  Now, “Command the Morning” Prayer Ministries are being established all over the world from America to Africa and in between.  Pastor Njui is equipping others through his teaching/training/mentoring that’s (multiplication).  The Holy Bible tells us to be fruitful and multiply.

·    AS God leads and teaches Biblical principles in financial management, remember it all belongs to HIM, so ask HIM how to handle what HE has entrusted to you, what HE has given you to stewardship over. In all thy ways acknowledge HIM, so HE shall direct your paths.  The start is the foundation, and as each level builds (revelation from God), this is fruit.  Fruit comes from seeking the Father, having a listening ear to hear what the Spirit of the LORD is saying to the Church, and following with obedience and a heart of thanksgiving.  This is done until the program or process/procedures are firmly established on the sure foundation of Christ.  This procedure can then serve as a resource for other ministries (multiplication). All pointing to God’s purpose for the ministry (i.e. Prayer Pastor Julius Njui’s Assignment)– so God gets the ALL the Glory, ALL the Honor and ALL the Praise -    AMEN and GLORY HALLELUJAH!
