1) (Worship) Salvation AND Worship…

Apostle/Pastor Darrell Alder is the “Worship Pastor” at the “Cloud Of Glory Worship Center (COGWC)” and the Holy
Spirit led his born-again heart to worship in “Spirt and Truth” to OPEN the seminar.  This BELOVED and BLESSED Apostle and Pastor, led us in war/worship to allow our hearts to experience the presence of God’s Holy/Loving Spirit – AMEN and CLOUD OF GLORY HALLELUJAH!!!  Apostle/Pastor Darrell notes follow:

What is Salvation?

Salvation is defined as ‘deliverance from the power and penalty of sin; redemption.

Salvation has been provided through the shed blood, death, burial and resurrection of our Savior and Lord, Jesus the Christ.

We didn’t do anything to earn it and we never will.

Ephesians 2:1-9 reads:

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Because of Yah’s love for us all, He provided us the opportunity to be reconciled to Him, through the sacrifice of Jesus the Christ. And because of His unselfish act, all who have accepted Him, have been granted the gift of eternal life; or in other words, salvation by the grace of God, through our faith in Him.

Because of this loving act, we all should desire to show Yah that first, we understand what He did for us, and 2) we should desire to show Him how much we love and appreciate Him. This is done through our true worship.

Question:

Why do many “Christians” in our churches today fail to outwardly worship God?

Why is it that many appear to care nothing about worshiping God?

·   In some cases they seem to have other things on their minds during the worship service.

·   Sometimes they give the impression they would rather be somewhere else but feel the obligation to stay.

·   In most cases, the words ‘Worship Service’ on the church banner are only words that show that there is going to be an organized service and the time that it begins, but in most cases, it is NOT TRUE WORSHIP.

Hosea 4:6(a) reads “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge....”

Some people have made excuses for people saying ‘that people just didn’t understand worship’. They didn’t know what it was and thus didn’t know how to do it.

While this statement may be true and does carry some weight, it cannot be used any longer because the message of true worship is being spread in ministries across this nation and world.

vWorship is the natural outflow of love and honor given to the one who is being loved.

vWe express that love all the time to our children, friends, and spouse.

vWe care for and cherish those whom we truly love.

vLittle teaching is needed when love is evident.

vLike any other area of life, some people need more instruction and teaching than others when it comes to understanding the full concept of worship.

vHowever, for the most part, a mother falls in love with her child even before they meet face to face.

vPeople fail to worship God because they do not truly know and love Him.

vThis may come as an odd statement and does not mean to say those who do not worship do not know God. What is does say is, those who love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, will become worshipers with little need to be taught.

vIf we are truly in love with the Lord, we will worship Him.

vThose who come to church each week and sit like emotionless logs have failed to develop a love relationship with the Lord.

vIt’s because many don’t understand worship, nor do they have the desire to try because of the spirit of religion.

vOnce people can get past this spirit, then their eyes can be opened up and once the scales have been removed, then they can begin to develop a true love for God and begin to develop a great value in what they see, and the application of worship can begin.

The word Worship is broken down into two words, Worth and Ship.

vThe title your worth-ship was given to people in high places who were esteemed in mid-evil times and was used to worship them.

vOf course we don’t worship anyone but God, but in doing so, we place a worth upon our God when we worship Him because no one is worthy of our worship. No one is worthy of our praise.

As people’s understanding is increased, so will their appreciation for God, and as a result, their love will grow and grow and ultimately birth a love in their hearts that causes them to become the true worshippers that Yah wants us to be.

Show me a person who loves the Lord, and I will show you a true worshiper.

AMEN and GLORY, GLORY HALLEULJAH!

2) (Prayer) Salvation In Prayer…

Prayer Pastor Julius Njui was very excited to prepare this teaching through the PRAYER and POWER of the Holy Spirit.    Pastor Julius’ notes are as follows:

Jesus instructed us to pray for the unsaved in this manner: “Ask ¬ - (pray) the Lord of the harvest . . . to send out workers into his harvest field” (Luke 10:2). This prayer concerns the “harvest field” of evangelism in the world.  It is a prayer that people will be saved and God will be glorified.

Important – the harvest field is the devils territory, unsaved people are captives.  You cannot invade a strongman’s house to set the captives free unless you bind the strongman.  Prayers binds the devil, breaks the fetters he has on his captives and they get saved.

Christians are people of prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and many of our prayer requests are in regards to the spiritual condition of our unsaved friends and relatives.  We want them to be saved, and we pray to that end.  In this we agree with Charles Spurgeon, who said, “If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies.  And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay.  If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.”

We should be praying for the unsaved.  Our Savior came to seek and to save the lost (Luke 19:10), and a principal theme of Luke’s gospel is Christ’s compassion for those often regarded as outcasts in Israel.  Our Savior “wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4), so when we pray for the salvation of an unsaved person, we are simply sharing in the stated desire of Jesus.

It is through people with “beautiful feet” who bring the gospel that God uses as the means of reaching His elect (Isaiah 52:7).

It is natural to pray for those we care about.  Consider the compassion the young servant girl showed to her Syrian captor:

“If only my master would see the prophet who is in Samaria!  He would cure him of his leprosy!” (2 Kings 5:3).  Her prayer was for the unsaved.  Consider the compassion Paul felt for his lost Jewish brothers:  “I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart.  For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people” (Romans 9:2–3).  Another devout servant of God’s—Moses—was, like Paul, ready to give his life for the sake of his people (see Exodus 32:32).

We all have people in our sphere of influence who are unsaved, and we should be praying for them because we care deeply about them and because we know that God cares for them and wants none of them to perish—His desire is for all of them to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

We have another biblical command to pray for the unsaved: “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people. . . .  This is good, and pleases God our Savior” (1 Timothy 2:1, 3).  The Ephesian church (where Timothy pastored) had apparently stopped praying for the unsaved, and Paul was encouraging Timothy to make it a priority again.  His desire was for the Ephesian Christians to have compassion for the lost.  Once again, we have no way of knowing who the elect are until they respond.

“The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective” (James 5:16), and “the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer” (1 Peter 3:12; Psalm 34:15).  God indeed hears the cries of His children.  We know what happens to those who die in their sins, and that knowledge alone should prompt us to pray incessantly for our unsaved acquaintances in the hope that they, too, will respond to God’s call and join us in heaven.

The First Disciples  Matt 4:18-20

(18) As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew.  They were casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.  (19) Come, follow Me, Jesus said,“and I will make you fishers of men.” (20) And at once they left their nets and followed Him.

He has made us Fishers of Men, we talk to Him in and through prayer and that is how we become effective “fishermen and women.”

AMEN and GLORY, GLORY HALLEULJAH!

3) (HR/Admin) Salvation In HR/Admin…

Dr. Donnalakshmi (Donna) Selvaraj, as led of the Holy Spirit, started with entering the “Protocols of the Palace,” which is Team prayer, praise and worship to enter into the Holy presence of our King Jesus and our Abba Father in the Holy Throne Room in Heaven.  She thanked the other three Team Presenters, Apostle Darrell, Pastor Julius and Pastor Marvel, for the privilege to journey with them to create the “teaching” for the “Back to the Basics of Ministry” (B2B) website.  Dr. Donna noted it  has been about a 12 month journey starting on September 26, 2015 through October 15, 2016 to complete the “basic ministry teaching” for the B2B website; Dr. Donna also thanked the Presentation Team Mates for their faithfulness, prayers and their sensitivity to follow the “leading of God’s Holy Spirit” in the development of this basic ministry teaching– Amen.

Dr. Donna shared the reason for the development of the B2B ministry, which is to provide teaching on the “basic information and teaching” for Judeo-Christian ministries; she stated she loved praying and researching this information and just LOVED the confluence of this teaching with other teaching she researched.  Confluence is the coming together or flowing together such as the integration of TWO rivers of water about the same bredth and depth… Dr. Donna noted the B2B teaching that has been developed by the Team through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit flows so beautifully with the teaching she has researched online.  Consequently,  she stated she hoped this website would be a resource website for BASIC ministry teaching, Kingdom building and BLESSINGS until our Lord Jesus comes to get us (Amen and GLORY HALLELUJAH!) – Dr. Donna  encouraged ALL to continue to visit the website and to also share the website address with anyone the Holy Spirit leads their born-again hearts to share the website with - AMEN and “Cloud of Glory” HALLELUJAH!

Dr. Donna stated she was assigned “Salvation In HR/Admin,” therefore, she stated she believes the easiest way for her to teach this subject is by sharing the definition of SIN, then sharing the following THREE definitions for 1) Human Resources (HR); 2) Administration; and 3) Salvation – it is necessary to UNDERSTAND SIN as it relates to SALVATION, thus, more easily understanding SALVATION.

Dr. Donna facilitated the “Team” presentation as follows:

DR. DONNA read:

SIN:  an offense against religious or moral law - Example:  Lucifer wants God’s position – then falls; Lucifer tempts Adam and Eve with “being like God” and brings SIN to the human race; ALL being form of SIN).

APOSTLE DARRELL read:

1)    Human Resources:  The division of a company that is focused on activities relating to employees, which include recruiting, hiring, orientation of new employees, training of existing employees, administering employee benefits, and retention of employees.  The first FOUR topics Dr. Donna presented for the “Back to the Basics (B2B) Of Ministry” teaching seminars, were the following Human Resources (HR) Tools:

a.    Agenda – a loving and kind way to organize one’s self to plan for efficient, effective and loving ministry.

b.    Website – a loving and kind way to broadcast/advertise your ministry via the internet.

c.     Job Duty Statement/Serving Leader Responsibility Statement (SLRS)  - a loving and kind way for a Servant Leader to share the ministry “duties/responsibilities” in a written document to allow your volunteers and/or paid staff to understand what performance expectations will be expected of their service.

d.    Loving Kindness – dwelling in God, thus dwelling in love. (1 John 4:16); this is a HR Tool for the Believers.  Dr. Donna stated these first THREE HR Tools are usually written documents.  She stated she believed that for these documents to be the MOST effective for ministry development, they should be created with “all of God’s love in one’s born-again heart” – the challenge Dr. Donna stated she faced in presenting “Loving Kindness,” is that “Loving Kindness” is NOT a written document… it is a journey of one’s own heart – AMEN!

PASTOR JULIUS read:

2)  Administration:  ***Google Search*** a) the process or activity of running a business, organization, etc.; b) the action of dispensing, giving, or applying something.

3) Salvation:  ***Google Search*** sal-va'-shun:

a)    deliverance from sin and its consequences, believed by Christians to be brought about by faith in Christ;

b)   In Christianity, union or friendship with God and deliverance from original SIN and damnation. Jesus promised salvation to his followers;

c) (Merriam Webster definition) the act of saving someone from SIN or evil: the state of being saved from SIN or evil.

d) (Baker's Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology) Of the many Hebrew words used to signify salvation, yasa (to save, help in distress, rescue, deliver, set free) appears most frequently in the Old Testament.  Commonly, the deliverance of which the Old Testament speaks is material in nature, though there are important exceptions.  In contrast, the employment of soteria in the New Testament, though it may include material preservation, usually signifies a deliverance with special spiritual significance. In addition to the notion of deliverance the Bible also uses salvation to denote health, well-being, and healing.

e)  ***Following Info Referenced From 10/3/16 Google Search And An Article By William T. Arnold ***

·   Broadly speaking, one might say that salvation is the overriding theme of the entire Bible.

·   In Matthew's Gospel the angel tells Joseph that Mary's child is conceived of the Holy Spirit, and that he is "to give him the name Jesus, because He will save His people from their SINS" ( 1:21-23 ). The name "Jesus" (derived from the Hebrew Joshua [;[Wv/hy]) itself means salvation.

·   Salvation belongs to those who follow Jesus.

PASTOR MARVEL read:

OLD TESTAMENT - LAW

·   10 Commandments Overview

o  1) No Other Gods; 2) No Graven Images; 3) Not Take Lord’s Name In Vain; 4) Remember  The Sabbath Day; 5) Honor Mother And Father;

o  6) Not Kill; 7) No Adultery; 8) No Stealing; 9) No False Witness; 10) No Coveting.

·   613 Commandments

o   A July 2016 online “google” search was conducted and an article was found by Mendy Hecht titled, “The 613 Commandments (vahs)  - The BIBLE Cross-Referenced With The Torah & Jewish Tradition For The 613 Commandments.”

o  FORGIVENESS OF SIN:  The high priest had to take two male goats; one of the goats was sacrificed as a SIN offering; the other goat was released into the wilderness; the SIN offering provided forgiveness of SIN, while the other offering provided the removal of SIN (Leviticus).

o  In summation, animal sacrifices were commanded by God so that the individual could experience forgiveness of SIN. The animal served as a substitute for the person.

o  Animal sacrifices foreshadowed Christ’s sacrifice on our behalf (for our sin).

NEW TESTAMENT – LOVE

·   Animal sacrifices have ended because Jesus Christ was the ultimate and perfect sacrifice for our SIN.

·   Jesus’ sacrifice is the ADMINISTRATION of the Law.

·   John the Baptist recognized this when he saw Jesus coming to be baptized and said, “Look, the lamb of God who takes away the SIN of the world!” (John 1:29)

·   Why animal sacrifice and then God’s Son as a sacrifice?  What did they do wrong? That is the point—since the animals did no wrong, they died in place of the one performing the wrong. Jesus Christ also did no wrong – He willingly gave Himself to die for the SINS of mankind (1 Timothy 2:6).

·   Jesus Christ took our sin upon Himself and died in our place.

·   As 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “God made Him [Jesus] who had no SIN to be SIN for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” Through faith in what Jesus Christ accomplished on the cross, we can receive forgiveness (of our sins).

·   Christ who would sacrifice Himself for our SINS, providing the forgiveness that animal sacrifices could only illustrate and foreshadow.

DR. DONNA read:

Dr. Donna stated since the journey through the above definitions of 1) Human Resources (HR), Administration and Salvation has led our hearts to understand that to truly ENJOY “Salvation,” one must also TRULY understand “SIN” and how “Salvation” saves us from SIN.  And, one last definition is needed on “how to FORGIVE” because of SIN.  She provided the following definition of “SIN” again in relationship to “FORGIVE”:

SIN:  an offense against religious or moral law - Example:  Lucifer wants God’s position – then falls; Lucifer tempts Adam and Eve with “being like God” and brings SIN to the human race; ALL being form of sin).

FORGIVE:  What forgiveness involves - You are not condoning the wrong doing or acting as if it never happened (i.e. the SIN against you)—you are simply letting it go.  Dr. Donna stated she wanted to close with the definition of “FORGIVE” to help everyone understand how to FORGIVE those who SIN against YOU… “letting go” and “letting God” is also true SALVATION because you learn to “live your Salvation” knowing our Abba Father has sent His Son Jesus to FREE you from your sin nature” and has FORGIVEN you so you should also continue to FORGIVE others as they SIN against you – AMEN!

SUMMATION:  The definition of “Salvation in HR/Admin” is to parallel “Human Resources” (i.e. focus on administering benefits of company) with “Administration” (i.e. the action of dispensing, giving, or applying something) with “Salvation” (i.e. rescue, deliver, set free).  All three definitions denote “actions of a BENEFIT.”  The benefit in “Salvation” is freed from sin.  Sin is an offense against religious or moral law.  The sacrifice for sin in the OLD Testament was the “sacrifice of animals.”  The sacrifice for sin in the New Testament is as “John the Baptizer” said when he saw Jesus going towards him to be baptized in the water, “Look, the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”  AMEN and GLORY, GLORY HALLELUJAH!

Dr. Donna closed her session with THANKING all who have attended the B2B teaching seminars and THANKING her AWESOME and POWERFUL Presentation Team Mates again.

AMEN and GLORY, GLORY HALLEULJAH!

4) (Finance/Budgets) Salvation In Finance/Budgets…

Pastor Marvel Alder, yielded to the Holy Spirit, allowed our God to speak through her to ENCOURAGE everyone regarding their circumstances.  She presented “Salvation in Budgets/Finance” by starting off with a definition of “Salvation” as follows.

Salvation

Salvation is deliverance from danger/suffering.  The word carries connotations of victory, health, or preservation. In the bible, the word salvation can be referring to eternal and spiritual deliverance.  Exodus 15:2 - “The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.  He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.”  2 Samuel 22:3 – “my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation.  He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior— from violent people you save me.”  Psalm 18:2 – “The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”  Psalm 27:1 – “The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?”  Psalm 37:39 – “The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord; he is their stronghold in time of trouble.”  Psalm 62:1 – “Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.”  Psalm 62:7 – “My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge.”  Acts 4:12 – “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”  Romans 1:16 – “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”  Revelation 19:1  - “After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting: Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God.”

This falls in line with previous sessions - putting things in proper perspective and having the right mindset.  These are foundational truths to build upon and how fitting for them to be part of Back to the Basics of Ministry.

     Salvation comes from GOD

     Salvation depends on GOD

     Salvation belongs to GOD

GOD’s Will, GOD’s Plan and GOD’s Power.

·   Since everything belongs to GOD, doesn’t it make sense for HIM to direct how HE wants things to be done.

·   Think about worship.  Wouldn’t it be better to worship GOD in the manner HE wants to be worshipped?

·   When you pray, wouldn’t it be better to pray in the manner that HE wants you to pray?

·   When you work in administration, wouldn’t it be better to administer in the manner that HE wants HIS house to be administered?

·   This same mindset should be applied to Finances.  This is exciting and can always be exciting and cutting edge, why?  (Isaiah 40:28)

·   Do you not know?   Have you not heard?  The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. (NIV)

Holman Version

Do you not know? Have you not heard?  Yahweh is the everlasting God, the Creator of the whole earth.  He never grows faint or weary; there is no limit to His understanding.  (Romans 11:33-36)

New International Version (NIV)

“Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and[i] knowledge of God!  How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!”  (34)  “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” (35) “Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?” (36) For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

Holman Version

“Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God!   How unsearchable His judgments and untraceable His ways!” (34)  “For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor?” (35)  “Or who has ever first given to Him, and has to be repaid?” (36) For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things.  To Him be the glory forever. Amen.

Psalm 145:3 – (NIV)

Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.

Holman Version

Yahweh is great and is highly praised; His greatness is unsearchable.

Again, this is exciting and can always be exciting and cutting edge because Yahweh is great and HIS greatness is unsearchable.  My dictionary tells me that unsearchable means “no-limit” unable, not capable of being searched or explored.  HIS greatness is unsearchable not ours – so we must consult HIM-in all thy ways acknowledge HIM and HE shall direct your paths.

Let’s look here… we’ve already established that Salvation comes from GOD, Salvation depends on GOD and Salvation belongs to GOD.  You could replace Salvation with resources.  Resources come from GOD, Resources depend on GOD, and Resources belong to GOD.    GOD has entrusted resources to each of us -- some as business owners, some as church overseers or your personal resources.  The question that should be asked is, “why did GOD give you the resources that he gave you?”  You have been entrusted with resources, what are you to do with them?  This is very important; because if HE gives you seed for sowing wouldn’t it be terrible if instead of sowing the seed you consumed it?  Or if HE gave you seed to eat and instead of eating it you sowed it?

If GOD provides seed for sowing and you eat it, when harvest time comes you will have nothing to reap because you didn’t sow the seed.  If you sow the seed GOD provides for you to eat, you will be waiting for a harvest, but in the present you will still be hungry because you sowed what you should have eaten.  Well, the seed looks the same, so what do you do?  How do you know which seed is for sowing and which seed is for eating?  This brings up the importance of staying connected to the vine.  We stay connected through communication with GOD in areas such as prayer, reading/meditating on the Word, worship and fasting.  Being sensitive to the HOLY SPIRIT and staying open through constant communication with GOD is how we stay connected to Him..

Proverbs 3:6:  In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.  Acknowledge HIM through your prayers; consult HIM, this is two way communications.  GOD looks for HIS WORD to perform it.  HIS word says to acknowledge HIM in all your ways and HE will direct your path.  When HE provides you with increase or any type of resource ask HIM, what am I do with this?  The righteous person will live by his faithfulness  We can read in Psalm 37:  Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.  Trust in GOD * Have faith in GOD *

When you truly trust GOD and have faith in HIM, it makes way for that peace that surpasses all understanding, that peace that guards your heart and mind.  This solid foundation of peace and trust in GOD, keeps a person rooted when it comes to finances, then GOD, not money or the need for money, will control you and your actions.

Luke 16:10 - “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.  I personally like to start things small so I can work out the kinks.  I can perfect what I know, and learn the things that I do not know.  Learn to do things the correct way in the beginning stages or while they are yet small and then when they enlarge you’ll be ready.  Think of the talents, the faithful doubled and unfaithful had his taken away; he was untrustworthy.  To avoid this, commit your ways to GOD and wait for HIM to respond or direct your path.  When HE directs you—make sure you do it!  That’s important too!  What good are instructions if you aren’t going to follow them?  Why ask if you are only going to do what is right in your own eyes?  The children of Israel wandered in the wilderness for 40 years-the bibles says yet their shoes and clothes didn’t wear out.  The provision of GOD, HE takes care of HIS own.  But we have a responsibility too – to obey HIS commandments.

In the New Testament we read that Jesus took five loaves of bread and two fish and fed 5,000.  What about the fish that had the money in its mouth.  What is my point?  My point is that GOD provides for all, but especially for those that put their trust in HIM.

·   My GOD shall supply all my needs according to HIS riches in GLORY.

·   The LORD is my shepherd I shall not want!  These are scriptures of provision – when GOD called David to smite Goliath, he trained him, gave him experience and then used the smooth stone to perform what an army was unable and unwilling to do.

·   When you read the stories in the bible, the constant theme is the communication and direction from GOD.  But not without challenges; when the children of Israel went to possess the land, they had to conquer their enemies.  But they didn’t conquer their enemies on their own or in their own strength - it was almighty GOD that fought their battles for them.  The battles were won in different ways, with each conquest; Joshua received instruction from GOD and how he should proceed.  GOD would tell him and he would relay the information to the children of Israel.

I believe if we look in the bible, we will see provision is close to obedience.  Remember the ram in the bush?  Abraham was obedient to sacrifice his son Isaac, and in doing so there was a Ram in the bush.

Rick Joyner, in his book “Overcoming Fear” says financial independence is being in the place where you never have to make a decision based on financial considerations, but simply on the revealed will of GOD.

If you struggle in this area, it’s time for change, and this change can begin with recognizing and repenting of ways in which you have departed from scripture mandates.  After repenting begin to obey the clear and simple biblical instructions for financial management.  In doing so we will begin to see a life of freedom emerge - remember repent and obey for freedom.

We are talking about the finances of ministry and salvation, well, it all belongs to GOD and, unfortunately, many ministries focus on bringing in more money.  If they increase the money, they think they would be better off.  Of course more money could be helpful, but, more importantly than more money, is the stewardship or financial management of the money already entrusted to the ministry.  IF you aren’t consulting GOD with what HE has already sent your way, why would HE increase that?  (Luke 16:10) who can be trusted?  Ask yourself, where do I really put my trust?  Is it pseudo in GOD because I have an adequate amount of money in the bank?  Is it in my job – I have permanent status, I can’t be fired?  Is it in your assets, your children, your skills, your abilities your education?

Matthew tells us not to store our treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. (20) But store our treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.  This is an important question to ask yourself because where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.  Sometimes it’s hard to realize where your treasure is, so sometimes tests are in order, sometimes your account has to go lower than your comfort zone, to see where your treasure really is.  GOD already knows, perhaps the test is so you can know…hmmm.

Aspire to be a servant of Christ, to have a complete and utter devotion to God, His word, and His will.  Lay down your selfish personal desires and will at the foot of the Cross and follow Christ.  We may not be perfect, but we will have a repenting heart and dedication to following God and to walk in HIS love with Christ as our example.   Know the LORD as your source, keep your trust in HIM.

I reminded of a song called the closer I get to You, one day in church I got new words to that tune.

The closer I get to you, The more I seek your face, by giving you my whole heart

Your love enraptures me..

“Enrapture”…  I thought I had the word wrong, thought it meant rapture, but it was like no enrapture – that’s the word.  So I looked it up right there in church, know what it means- Fill someone with delight or delight beyond measure… there it is again beyond measure.

The hook goes as I draw nigh to you, you will draw nigh to me.  What, it’s up to me?  As I get closer to HIM, HE gets closer to ME.

Jeremiah 29:13 says it like this:  You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

AMEN and HALLELUJAH!
