1) (Worship) Tabernacle of Praise and Worship …

Apostle/Pastor Darrell Alder is the “Worship Pastor” that led this meeting.   His anointing as a War/worship Pastor and his blessings as an Apostle took the war/worship in this meeting to the next level (Amen).  Apostle Darrell also taught how the “Tabernacle of Praise and Worship” is related to King David’s life of submission to God, essentially, our “praise and worship to God” is allegorical to “David’s life of submission to God and his blessing to be a man after God’s own heart.”  As we praise and war/worship in our submission to God, we are also seen by Him as a “person after His own heart.”  Apostle/Pastor Darrell’s notes will be added at a later date.  Hallelujah!

2) (Prayer) Azusa Street …

Prayer Pastor Julius Njui stated as he was preparing for this “B2B ministry revival seminar,”  he was amazed at the amount of information he discovered about  the “1906 Azusa Street Worldwide Revival” in California and in the Los Angeles area.

Pastor Julius stated he was “blown away” by what was happening then, in relation to what is going on in the country today, concerning racial injustice, even in the house of God and within Christian circles.

At the beginning of the 1900’s, It was obvious in America that “Black Lives Did Not Matter” for it was clearly put on paper through Jim Crow Laws, which were practiced more in the Southern States than the Northern States in America.

Following Excerpt From A July 2016 Google Search Link On Jim Crow:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Crow_laws

Jim Crow laws mandated the segregation of public schools, public places, and public transportation, and the segregation of restrooms, restaurants, and drinking fountains for whites and blacks. The U.S. military was also segregated, as were federal workplaces, initiated in 1913 under President Woodrow Wilson.

The amazing thing was that Black Lives (like all lives) mattered to God, He continued to show and demonstrate this through His divine acts for the “Azusa Street Revival” whereby God “answered the PRAYERS” of William Seymour and a small group of praying women who were all Black American citizens.

These are excerpts from several articles found through a Google Search about “Azusa Street” in July 2016 as follows:

“When Parham moved to Houston and began a Bible School, she persuaded Seymour to attend. Because of the countries segregation laws called the ‘Jim Crow laws,’ Seymour was not allowed to stay overnight in the school. Nor could he even share the same room as white folk. (The words ‘Jim Crow’ had become a racial slur synonymous with black, coloured, Negro in the vocabulary of many whites, or the worse ‘Sambo’ or ‘coon’; and by the end of the century acts of racial discrimination toward blacks were often referred to as Jim Crow laws and practices.) It is generally accepted that Seymour was positioned outside the classroom on the veranda and had to learn ‘at a distance.’ “ Did you get that clearly? Did Black Lives Matter to Jim Crow and his counterparts? No Not At All, but they mattered and still mater to God the giver of live and the ruler of everything.

Act of God #1:  Here is the kicker of all time: The Lord reached out from the realms of glory to the Negro positioned on the veranda outside the classroom of Whites and chose William J. Seymour to lead a worldwide revival.

Today, 550 - 600 million Pentecostals and Charismatics trace their particular faith back to its humble origins 110 years ago, and whenever the “Asuza Street Revival” is mentioned, this one-eyed African- American, William J. Seymour, MUST BE MENTIONED who was, and is, a son of former slaves,  Simon and Phillis Seymour.  Glory be to the King of all Kings.

Act of God #2:  The San Francisco earthquake was very destructive, but in the same year, the greatest earthquake - spiritual quake happened at 312 Azusa Street, Los Angeles, CA.  Its aftershocks have continued to be felt around the world for the last 110 years, changing lives of 600 - 800 million.

Act of God #3:  Slavery was hurtful, demeaning and ungodly.  It made people of African origin who were slaves second rate humans and citizens.  Only an act of God that would take a predominantly African-American church rooted in the African slave culture of the 19th century to become the leader in spreading Pentecostalism in the whole  world in the 20th century starting in 1906. Glory be to His dear and mighty Name. Amen.

Pastor Julius encourages your heart to continue to PRAY and FAST to be led of God’s Holy Spirit for you to seek more information from online sources should your heart desire more informatoni – AMEN and GLORY HALLELUJAH!

3) (HR/Admin) Loving Kindness …

Dr. Donnalakshmi (Donna) Selvaraj, as inspired of the Holy Spirit, presented “Loving Kindness,” which she described as Part 1 of a “12-Part Teaching Series.”  This teaching focuses on God, Love and the “Fruit of the Spirit” in Galatians 5:22-23.  A presentation of the “Ten Commandments,” and “50 of the 613 Commandments” cross-referenced with the Torah and Jewish Traditions, is also presented as an interesting look back on some of the laws in the Old Testament.

Dr. Donna started by reviewing the first THREE topics she presented for the “Back To The Basics (B2B) Of Ministry” revival, which were the following Human Resources (HR) Tools:

1. Agenda – a loving and kind way to organize one’s self to plan for efficient, effective and loving ministry.

2. Website – a loving and kind way to broadcast/advertise your ministry via the internet.

3. Job Duty Statement/Serving Leader Responsibility Statement (SLRS)  - a loving and kind way for a Servant Leader to share the ministry “duties/responsibilities” in a written document to allow your volunteers and/or paid staff to understand what performance expectations will be expected of their service.

Dr. Donna stated these first THREE HR Tools are usually written documents.  She stated she believed that for these documents to be the MOST effective, they should be created with “all of God’s love in one’s born-again heart” – HALLELUJAH!

The challenge Dr. Donna stated she faced in presenting “Loving Kindness,” is that “Loving Kindness” is NOT a written document… it is a journey of one’s own heart – AMEN!

What Is Loving Kindness…

Dr. Donna started by defining “Loving Kindness,” which she stated can be defined or translated as  “Living Kindness” or as used in the Book of Psalms, as “acts of KINDNESS motivated by LOVE.”

What Is LOVE…

Dr. Donna stated it was necessary to define “love”… God Is LOVE.  The following scripture tell us about God as LOVE:

1 John 4:16:   And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

How Do You Dwell In God…

Dr. Donna stated as we move through this teaching, we know how to define “Dwelling In God And Dwelling In Love.”  Let’s look at Galatians 5:22-23 and learn about the “Fruit Of The (Holy) Spirit,” which states, But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit (i.e. also known as the Fruit Of The (Holy) Spirit) in our lives… love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control against such there is no law.

Dr. Donna stated she believes this Word tells us that if we abide/live in the Holy Spirit, (i.e. dwelling in the Holy Spirit, which is God’s Holy Spirit) we are abiding in God’s love.  This is one definition of “Loving Kindness” and a way to achieve God’s Loving Kindness – AMEN!

Loving Kindness vs. Law…

Dr. Donna referred to the BASIC laws that most Believers know, which are the “Ten Commandments,” which are as follows (i.e. a combination of various translations):

I am the LORD thy God

1.    Thou shalt have no other gods

2.    No graven images or likenesses

3.    Not take the LORD's name in vain

4.    Remember the sabbath day

5.    Honour thy father and thy mother

6.    Thou shalt not kill

7.    Thou shalt not commit adultery (i.e.  Thou shall NOT take thy man servant or thy maid servant as thy wife)

8.    Thou shalt not steal

9.    Thou shalt not bear false witness

10.  Thou shalt not covet

50 Of The 613 Commandments…

Dr. Donna said she also wanted to present “50 of the 613 Commandments” in the Old Testament as an interesting look back at what the “traditions and commandments were back in the more ancient of days, which she stated she felt would HELP everyone truly ENJOY how BLESSED the current-day Believers have it when it comes to abiding and dwelling in God’s love and laws.

What Are The 50 Of The 613 Commandments…

Dr. Donna did a July 2016 online “google” search and found an article by Mendy Hecht titled, “The 613 Commandments (vahs)  - The BIBLE Cross-Referenced With The Torah & Jewish Tradition For The 613 Commandments.”

Dr. Donna shared some of the following information from “Mendy Hecht’s” article:

     Several great Jewish scholars have compiled a complete listing of these commandments.

     Although they all agree on the vast majority of the commandments, they do disagree concerning a number of them.

     The arguments are for scholastic purposes only, for they do not disagree over any actual commandment whether it is mandatory or forbidden -- they only disagree whether certain commandments are independent commandments, or perhaps they are part of another commandment and are not counted on their own.

Mendy Hecht’s article goes on to state that the following list follows the opinion of Maimonides, as he lists them in his magnum opus, the Mishneh Torah. It must be noted that many of these commandments (such as all the commandments associated with sacrifices) are not practicable as long as there is no Temple in Jerusalem.

Dr. Donna said the following list of “50 of the 613 Commandments” is presented for your review, enlightenment and ENJOYMENT and may fulfill any curiosity you may have about the “613 Commandments” – AMEN and ENJOY!

4) (Finance/Budgets) Transparency and Monthly Reporting of Finances …

Pastor Marvel Alder, led of the Holy Spirit, presented her session for “Kingdom Building.”   She started her session by allowing the Saints and attendees to answer the question, “ what does Stewardship mean to you.”  Pastor Marvel was “blessed” by the responses given from the Siants because their responses were already included in Pastor Marvel’s presentation.

Pastor Marvel went on to deliver the following teaching... she began… Stewardship is a lifestyle and should be demonstrated in every area of life – relationships, jobs, marriages, resources, etc.  Living with this culture or mentality puts life choices in proper perspective.

STEWARDSHIP:  What is Stewardship?  Important to know because life and whatever God has entrusted to you should be handled with care aka – stewardship.

Principle of Stewardship includes ownership – it all belongs to God; Responsibility – you’re responsible for your actions; Accountability works with Responsibility, giving an account for what you do with God’s property; and. Reward- faithful over few, HE will make you ruler of many.

Included in the responsibilities of running a church, is the administration of the church.  Administration refers to the activities and people associated with running the church.  We want to mirror 2 Corinthians 8:21 by aiming for what is honorable, not only in the Lords sight, but also in the sight of man.  Practicing good stewardship embodies responsible planning and management of resources.  This concept can be applied to almost every part of life.

Being transparent can be thought of as having nothing to hide.  Adam and Eve were completely transparent when they were first created.  They were naked and not ashamed.  Physically we could see this, but also I believe their hearts were transparent.  Once they disobeyed, or you could think of it as being irresponsible in the management of their resources, they began to devise a plan of cover up.

In the natural, this is demonstrated by the fig leaves sewn together and made a covering.  But something else took place, prior to the disobedience, they didn’t hide from God.  But once they disobeyed, when they heard HIS voice, they became afraid, because they were naked and they hid themselves.   They were not successful in hiding from God.  Nor is man successful today in hiding things from God.

Jeremiah 17:10 says “I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.”  This is important to remember in all areas of life.  Things can be hidden from man, but God searches the heart and examines the mind.  In an effort to show good faith and practice sound stewardship, churches should provide monthly financial reports.

This speaks to transparency, as the financial records tell the story of how the finances are being handled.  Accountability, responsibility and good stewardship are Christ-like attributes and should be reflected in how the church’s finances are handled.

Monthly financial reporting is just one part of good stewardship and overall financial management.  But it’s a good practice to implement monthly financial reporting even when membership is small or ministry is new.  That way good stewardship will be well in place as the finances and ministry begins to grow.  This is an opportunity to be faithful.  (Luke 16:11)

Monthly financial reports can be simple or as complex as the church desires.  However, it can be as easy as reporting it in the corner of the church bulletin.  Simple, easy to read and available to all below are important reasons why:

     Finances that are not shared/posted, can be perceived more of an individual’s secret as opposed to a shared responsibility of the church.

     Knowing where the church is financially allows members to know the situation as they pray about giving.

     Members appreciate knowing the funds they are sowing into the ministry are being managed well.

     Monthly financial reports support good stewardship.

     Monthly financial reports support accountability.

     Monthly financial reports are a form of communication.

Monthly reports should be clear, consistent and easy to understand. A simple chart in the same place every month works well; it could be as E-Z as a summary placed in the church bulletin.  Monthly reports should just be a summary.  Detailed information can be made available at church business meetings.

*It’s important to ask the Lord for wisdom and guidance when sharing church financial information; it should be done decently and in order.  Always operating in financial integrity and obeying the laws of the land and offering a good testimony in the area of finance.  The sample report should have an effective date or Month, amount received and expenses.  It can be simple or as detailed as desire.

EXAMPLE:

Period  Receipts (Tithes/Offering)   Expenses

Prior Month      $xxx.xx $xxx.xx

Current Month Sxxx.xx $xxx.xx

Prior Year          $xxx.xx $xxx.xx

Summary:          Giving has increased/decreased from prior month.

              ```          Giving has increased/decreased from prior year.
***Note:  Expenses higher in summer months due to increase in energy and water consumption.***
Pastor Marvel hopes everyone who reads this information is FILLED with more knowledge and wisdom on “Transparency and Monthly Reporting of Finances” for Kingdom Building – AMEN and HALLELUJAH!
